Palestinian Economic Council for Development & Reconstruction
PECDAR is the acronym of the Palestinian Economic Council for Development and Reconstruction. The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) established PECDAR as an independent institution in 1993 in full cooperation and coordination with the donor community to Palestine in support of the peace process.
President’s Statement
Countless editorials since the Nakbah have begun with the assertion that “These are the
most difficult days in the history of modern Palestine.” Sadly, this statement can be no
different. All sectors of economic and civil life continue to deteriorate at alarming rates.
